Guest Book

I recently had a work related opportunity to stay in Medford for two months. My wife found Grape Street Gardens on Craig's list, and I was able to procure a room there. Often time’s surprises are not what you want on a business trip, but when they turn out to be as pleasant as this was, it needs to be shared. Marrie is a delightful host always working to make sure things are going well with your stay. The rooms are comfortable, with all things necessary for an extended stay provided. Cricket comes in once a week to clean and tidy up. The first time I walked in after she had been by, I was amazed at how neat she had made the place look. There is nothing in Medford that is more than ten minutes away from this location, and shopping, or restaurants are all nearby. If you have occasion to be in Medford for any length of time I would recommend Grape Street Gardens as a far better option than any of the extended stay hotels. While in the area, check out the Leather Store in Jacksonville, and the Rogue Creamery in Central Point.

We loved staying at The Grape Street Gardens during August when we attended the Ashland Shakespeare festival and the Britt festival in Jacksonville. The room was just right, it had all the amenities we could possibly need for our one week stay. What struck us the most as we fell into bed always around 2am or so and turned on the TV each night/morning was that we didn't need to worry about anyone hearing us through paper thin walls as is the case in most hotels, GSG's units are all independent of each other so it was a private yet homely experience. The ample fruits of the garden outside were such a boon for my cooking endeavors! Most of all, we were delighted with the warmth and friendliness of Merrie. She believes completely in welcoming her guests and catering to their comfort. She is a wonderful person and we wish her much luck! Jorge & Sadhana August 2009

We had a wonderful stay at Merrie's Grape Street Gardens in July, 2009 - Merrie is a welcoming hostess - she has the ability to make you feel she is the caretaker of your own private Medford pied-de-terre. She throws her beautifully landscaped yard open to her guests - we were urged to pick flowers (I picked some lavender blooms) and vegetables (Merrie showed us the eggplant and fig that had our names on them)for our dinners. Her cottages are decorated like your girlfriend might - each one with a style of its own. But in the end, it was really comforting to have our own kitchen, bath and bed/living room to ourselves. When we were out and about in Southern Oregon, at the end of the day, we set our GPS to 'home' in Medford. The prospect of spending that amount of time in a motel/hotel is frightening (and costly). Really, it could not have been more perfect. Thank you Merrie!

It was great pleasure for Marlyn and me to meet you and visit with you in your very lovely apartments. Your friendly and welcoming attitude was very nice and comforting for both of us, and we hope to see you in our next visit to Medford.

I wanted to let others know how much I enjoy my stays at the Grape Street Gardens. I have traveled for my work for over 25 years and have stayed in 100's of bed and breakfast or small boutique hotels, and too many hotel rooms. Many years ago I started looking for places to stay that were more than a sterile hotel room. Grape Street Gardens provides wonderful cottages that make you feel comfortable. Whether someone is looking for a place to stay for a night, a few days or a month this "Garden of Eden" on Grape Street is a great spot. The hospitality that Merrie provides is second to none and the cottages have everything a traveler needs whether they are traveling for business or pleasure. I highly recommend Grape Street Gardens.

Being able to stay in Executive Suite P has been a pleasure, but has also saved my life! I am in the midst of a major remodel, have two cats and a dog and my contractors are behind schedule. This wonderful studio was available and met my needs perfectly. I have enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the close proximity to downtown Medford. It's hard to imagine that this downtown location could be so peaceful and serene, but it really is. I would recommend Grape Street Gardens to any traveller as the perfect place to stay in the Rogue Valley.

We stayed at Grape Street Gardens for two weeks while we waited to move in to our house in Ashland. Our stay was delightful. A small cluster of "Artist Studios" designed and built by local artist Eugene Bennett made for a most unique experience. The studios were comfortably appointed with the hostess’s whimsical touches. It was wonderful to step outside to pick flowers or herbs from her gorgeous gardens. But the most delightful part of our stay was getting to know the hostess, Merrie Gaye. Merrie makes you feel right at home in her studios. Grape Street Gardens provided us with a respite from our long journey and stressful move. When it was time to "move out" we were sad to be leaving our little studio and our new friends. We highly recommend Grape Street Gardens.
